-Present Simple
Cos'è e a cosa serve?
Il Present Simple è il tempo verbale che indica un'azione che si svolge nel presente ma non è limitata al momento in cui si parla. Viene, inoltre, utilizzata per indicare qualcosa che si ripete ciclicamente ed in maniera abituale.
Come si forma?
Frasi affermative : Soggetto + verbo alla forma base+ complemento Es. I live in Italy
Alla 3° persona singolare, si aggiunge una -s alla forma base del verbo. Nelle altre forme la frase resta invariata.
Es. She lives in Italy.
Frasi interrogative : Nelle frasi interrogative ci si avvale di un ausiliare, ovvero il verbo DO, che perde il significato di fare e serve solo come ausiliare.
DO/DOES + Soggetto + Verbo alla forma base + complemento. Es. Do you live in Italy? Alla 3° persona singolare ci si avvale dell'uso di DOES anziché di DO.
Es. Does she live in Italy?
Frasi Negative : Soggetto + DO/DOES + NOT + verbo alla forma base + complemento Es. I do not live in USA. Alla 3° persona singolare ci si avvale dell'uso di DOES anziché di DO.

-Present Continuos
Cos'è e a cosa serve?
Il Present Continuos si usa per esprimere azioni che si stanno svolgendo nel momento in cui si parla o si scrive.
Come si forma?
Frasi affermative : Soggetto + To be al Present Simple + verbo + ing + complemento
Es. I'm reading a book
Frasi interrogative : To be al Simple Present + Soggetto + verbo + ing + complemento
Es. Are you reading a book?
Frasi negative : Soggetto + To be al Simple Present + NOT + verbo + ing + complemento
Es. I am not reading a book
-Past Simple
Cos'è e a cosa serve?
Il Past Simple è il tempo passato che indica un'azione ormai finita e che non ha rapporti con il presente. Il tempo in cui si è svolta l'azione deve essere specificato e ben definito.
Come si forma?
Frasi affermative : Soggetto + Verbo all'infinito + Complemento
Es. Yesterday, I listened a song.
ATTENZIONE! La regola scritta in precedenza, vale solo con l'utilizzo di alcuni verbi, detti regolari. Nel caso in cui si usino verbi irregolari, è necessario studiare le forme che il verbo assume al passato. Precisamente, si deve studiare la seconda forma del paradigma.
Frasi interrogative : Did + Soggetto + forma base del verbo + complemento
Es. Did you see this film?
Frasi negative : Soggetto + Did + Not + Forma base del verbo + complemento
Es. I didn't see this film
-Past Continuos
Cos'è e a cosa serve?
Il past continuos è il tempo verbale passato che si usa per indicare un'azione che era in svolgimento in un momento definito del tempo.
Come si usa?
Frasi affermative : Soggetto + WAS/WERE + Verbo alla forma base + -ing + complemento
Es. At 11 p.m i was looking a film
Frasi interrogative : WAS/WERE + Soggetto + Verbo alla forma base + -ing + complemento
Es. Were you looking a film at 11 p.m. ?
Frasi negative : Soggetto + WAS/WERE + NOT + Verbo alla forma base + -ing + complemento

-Present Perfect

Il Present Perfect si usa per indicare frasi passate che hanno un qualche tipo con il presente.
Come si forma?
Frasi affermative : Soggetto + HAVE/HAD + Participio passato + complemento

Frasi interrogative : HAVE/HAD + Soggetto + participio passato + complemento
Es. Have you seen a film?
Frasi negative : Soggetto + HAVE/HAD + NOT + participio passato + complemento

-Past Perfect
Cos'è e a cosa serve?
Il Past Perfect è un tempo verbale passato utilizzato per indicare azioni che si sono svolte prima di un'azione che viene espressa in precedenza al Past simple.
Come si forma?
Frasi affermative : Soggetto + HAD + Participio Passato + Complemento
Es. I had gone to your home
Frasi interrogative : HAD + Soggetto + Participio Passato + Complemento
Es. Had you gone to my home?
Frasi negative : Soggetto + HAD + NOT + Participio Passato + Complemento
Es. I had not gone to your home
-Futuro con Will
Cos'è e a cosa serve?
Il futuro con will si usa quando si devono esprimere azioni future decise nel momento in cui si parla
Come si forma?
Frasi affermative : Soggetto + will + forma base del verbo + Complemento
Es. I will take an umbrella
Frasi interrogative : will + Soggetto + forma base del verbo + Complemento
Es. Will you take an umbrella?
Frasi negative : Soggetto + will + not + forma base del verbo + Complemento
Es. I will not take an umbrella
-Futuro con To be going to
Cos'è e a cosa serve?
Il futuro con To be going to si usa per indicare un'intenzione. E' infatti chiamato anche futuro intenzionale.
Come si forma?
Forma affermativa : Soggetto + To be going to + verbo alla forma base + Complemento
Es. I am going to go out
Forma interrogativa : Verbo essere al present simple + Soggetto + going to + verbo alla forma base + Complemento
Es. Are you going to go out?
Forma negativa : Soggetto + Verbo essere al present simple + NOT + going to + verbo alla forma base + Complemento
Es. I am not going to go out
-Futuro col present continuos
Cos'è e a cosa serve?
Il Present Continuos può essere usato come valenza di futuro quando si vuole parlare di azioni già programmate.
Come si forma?
Frasi affermative : Soggetto + To be al Present Simple + verbo + ing + complemento
Es. i am going to the dentist
Frasi interrogative : To be al Simple Present + Soggetto + verbo + ing + complemento
Es. Are you going to the dentist?
Frasi negative : Soggetto + To be al Simple Present + NOT + verbo + ing + complemento
